Suitable from 6 weeks until crawling
My Baby Yoga course runs for 5 weeks and provides an amazing nurture experience for you and your baby to relax and bond with each other, but not only that it gives you a great opportunity to meet other new parents to socialise and build a supportive community.
Baby yoga is suitable for babies aged 8 weeks to 1 year. For mums who have had a caesarean section please wait until 12 weeks post birth before beginning the course.
Classes are completely baby-led if your baby needs to feed, sleep or just wants a cuddle, feel free to take care his/her needs, and I will ensure that you are confident with the strokes so that you can practise them safely at home at a time that is best for your baby.
Each week we will begin the session with some dry massage for the babies to relax them. We'll sing a lot of songs, with each body part we cover. Singing encourages the development of baby’s sense of rhythm and language.
Throughout the 5 weeks course you will gradually learn lots of different gentle stretches and movements to assist baby's development. We also have lots of fun carrying out lifts, dips and swings to fun nursery rhymes which babies love.
We will finish the class with some breathing and relaxation techniques for the parents to unwind.
You'll also receive:
- Course handout
- Access to my member only Facebook group to interact with other mums
- A free 30 minutes follow up Zoom group call 2 weeks after your course
Each sessions lasts approximately 60 minutes.

About baby yoga
The tradition of Baby Yoga origins from India where it has been widely used for hundreds of years as part of their baby care along with baby massage. It is a variation of 'Yoga' that's more appropriate for babies.
Baby Yoga shares very similar benefits to baby massage, as both assist with development & bonding, provide relief, and relaxation. In addition to that, Baby yoga has some other wonderful benefits like strengthening muscles and joints, encourages flexibility and stimulates the senses as well as improves coordination.
Baby yoga can also provide relief from discomfort caused by wind and colic as the tummy gets lots of massage with the stretches.
By using a lot of songs, nursery rhymes and music, it assists with speech and language development.
Parents also benefit from the class as they have the opportunity to do some gentle stretching alongside their babies and unwind with a lovely relaxation at the end of each class.
